A strange deal of sorts for the Canucks. I guess you can never have enough spare defencemen in Vancouver seeing how they get injured all the time! That or Gillis is going to trade one of them. I thought Ryan Shannon was going to push for a spot with Vancouver after they had signed him for 1 year back in July to a $605,000 deal.
